연세대학교(총장 서승환) 화공생명공학과 문일 교수는 41회 스승의 날 유공교원으로 선정되어 부총리 겸 교육부장관 표창을 수상하였다.

문일 교수는 4차 산업혁명을 화학 공학 분야로 적용하기 위하여 내용을 구체화하고 다양한 분야에 적용을 시도하였다. 특히, 연구뿐만 아니라 현 산업 및 연구 경향을 반영한 교과목 커리큘럼을 제시함으로써 학생들에게 더욱 실용적인 내용을 전달하고자 노력하였다. 단순히 내용 전달에만 그치지 않고 다양한 산업 적용 사례에 대한 분석을 통해 추후 다양한 발전 방안을 구체화하였다.

현재 한국 공학교육학 회장을 역임하며 대학에서 필수적으로 다루어야할 내용과 학습 방법 모두 과거의 형태에서 탈피하여 뉴노멀 사회를 선도하는 공학교육의 발판을 세웠다.

과거 엔지니어링융합학과를 개설하여 성공적인 인력 양성을 수행했던 문일 교수는 교육과 인력 양성 노하우를 토대로 성공적인 공학 교육을 실천할 것으로 기대된다.

Professor Il Moon of the Department of Chemical and Biotechnology at Yonsei University (President Seung-Hwan Seo) received the commendation from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education on the 41st Teacher's Day.

To apply the 4th Industrial Revolution to the field of chemical engineering, Professor Il Moon has specified the contents and attempted to apply them to various fields. In particular, he tried to deliver more practical content to students by presenting a curriculum that reflects current industry and research trends as well as research. He did not stop at simply delivering content, but also materialized various development plans in the future through an analysis of various industrial application cases.

Currently serving as the president of the Korean Society for Engineering Education, he has laid the foundation for engineering education leading the new normal society by breaking away from the past in both content and learning methods that must be dealt with in college. Professor Il Moon, who successfully nurtured manpower by opening the Engineering Convergence Department in the past, is expected to practice successful engineering education based on his education and manpower training know-how.
